My dear ladies and occasional gentleman, who doesn’t like a bit of long tall Gaul?imageimage

No-one I hear you cry, so let me introduce you to NICHOLAS our host at the RIAD ANYSSATES.  Apart from being all PARISIAN and GORGEOUS  nothing is too much trouble, he dimageefinitely knows how to look after us LADIES!

His wonderful staff, FATIMA and the LADIES and especially dear MOHAMMED and all.

What is there not to like about PANCAKES and CAKE for breakfast?

Tempered by FRESH FRUIT,  YOGHURT, TOAST TEA and COFFEE.

If your stay coincides with my dear friend Veronica BEWARE! You’ll never know what you might find on your breakfast table, she does love a bit of FORAGING and will have been into all sorts of NOOKS and CRANNIES up the SOUK!

FEATHERLITE TWITTERS IN THE WOMENS INSTITUTE

FEATHERLITE TWITTERS IN THE WOMENS INSTITUTE.  image

My dear ladies and occasional gentleman WHAT LARKS! This evening I attended  a local WOMENS INSTITUTE quiz.  I can hear you thinking “what a boring evening” but NO  you would be wrong.

There are hidden depths to these ladies, they may live in DEEPEST DARKEST DEVON but they know how to ‘KICK OVER THE TRACES’ and enjoy themselves.

Our team consisted of five ladies and one occasional gentleman,  who at one stage got a little stern with me, which I will be honest created a little FRISSON between us but before you could say PRE-RAPHAELITES his wife established ownership by announcing they were off on a FERRY to FRANCE in the morning.

But I digress, the highlight of the evening was, when we were given a sheet of LOGOS to name and this picture was one of them.

imageThe ASHREIGNEY WOMENS INSTITUTE decided it was

DUREX FEATHERLITE CONDOMS.

Now we know what those ladies get up to and I don’t think it has anything to do with ‘JAM & JERUSALEM’!

Cockchafer

COCKCHAFERDuring my morning perambulation I spotted this fleeting visitor to the garden and just knew I had to share it with you all. I rushed indoors and donned my Lady-Explorers outfit of brown knee-high lace-up boots, long green linen skirt, ecru safari jacket with useful pockets full of useful things, such as, anti-snakebite, string, tweezers, a needle and thread, hard-boiled egg, sketch pad, full boxed set of charcoal pencils,  small Huntley & Palmers biscuit tin in the shape of  a elephant, hip flask and small metal tumblers, binoculars and collecting bag not forgetting my hat with the mosquito netting. I was ready. Now never let it be said I am not up with technology I grabbed my I-Pad and with never a thought for my safety ventured out to take this photograph.

Ronald I am sorry to say was nowhere to be seen. The minute I told him I had identified the beetle as a ‘Cockchafer’ he thrust his hands down the front of his trousers and ran. Silly Ronald.

Yours Exploringly
